Monitoring and eradicating bacteria, viruses, fungi – a priority for public health
Water is a key element in the healthcare facilities and public buildings, but at the same time it is a source of infection for patients/ or the most vulnerable and fragile.
The prevention of health risks associated with water-borne microorganisms (Legionella, Pseudomonas or other emerging pathogens) in domestic hot water systems must be of constant concern for managers of such establishments.
Controlling water quality in a building requires a comprehensive risk management strategy: an understanding of the water distribution facilities and the causes of a deterioration in the quality of the water is a vital pre-requisite for implementing such a strategy. Old water systems, as well as new ones, are included in the context of managing the health risks.
Contamination occurs via aerosols and micro droplets measuring less than 5µm.
What aqua-tools can provide
Terminal filters (FILT’RAY) consisting of a filter membrane are one of the methods that can be used to guarantee the quality of bacteriologically controlled water at the point of use.
Points of use that present a risk for persons at high risk correspond to points of use liable to expose such patients to an aerosol; this particularly applies to showers.
FILT’RAY DATAMANAGER for complete control over the identification and traceability of batches of
FILT’RAY terminal filters, systematic routine filter changes at points of use.
An electronic health inspection record complete with a 2D barcode reader.
The ATP quantitative measuring device (QGA Kit) is a biological tool for monitoring the quality of water supplies to prevent degradation at microbiological level and enable an HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) to be set up.
Aqua-tools has developed So’Aqua, shower filters for individual people in particular conditions like people hospitalized at home, newborns or elderly people. So’Aqua filters provide sterile water by filtration of all germs present in domestic water.
